Rob served in the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Air Force Reserve and the Air National Guard. He worked as a jet engine mechanic, a flight engineer, a personnel specialist and First Sergeant.
Rob retired from the 911th Airlift Wing in 2013 as an E8 First Sergeant after 33 years of service and a deployment to Baghdad, Iraq. He enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh and received a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2016. He was hired in 2017 as the Director of Airman and Family Readiness at the 911th where he provided a variety of support services to the men, women and families serving there.
Currently, Rob works for the Veterans Administration (VA) as a Veteran Service Representative. Previously, he worked at the American Legion as a Department Service Officer, assisting veterans and families in obtaining benefits from the VA. He is a member of the American Legion West Hills Post 924 and the Keith-Holmes VFW Post 402.
