Grip It and Rip It Golf Tournament Fundraiser
Sunday, August 25, 2024 | 7:30 AM
Moon Golf Club
We are raising money to create Restore 22 Coffee Shop, a brick and mortar location for veterans to meet and take advantage of the services we provide and where civilians are welcomed to hear their stories. Your support will take us one step closer to this goal.
Moon Golf Club offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers of every skill level. Well-groomed fairways and greens keep the course playable and friendly. Measuring 5805 yards from the back tees, it's rated as one of the best municipal golf courses in the region. The course rating is 68.5 with a slope of 117, and the golf course is known as "a course layout you can comfortably play every day."
Your registration fee includes green fees, cart, morning coffee and danish, hole contests, snack/drink during play, lunch and more.
Register by July 31 and save $20 per person.

Military Bike Ride - Conotton Creek Trail
Saturday, July 27, 2024 | 9:00 AM
Meet Up Details TBA
Our bicycle rides are social in nature and limited to a small group of 15 riders. We take our time and enjoy the camaraderie. Most rides are between 15 and 20 miles. Rides are open to anyone who served in the U.S. military and a guest. All riders must be over 18.
The Conotton Creek Trail is a beautiful example of a reclaimed rail trail from the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad. At only 54 minutes from the Pittsburgh International Airport, you will arrive at the trailhead in Jewett, Ohio, population 547. The trail is newly paved, smooth, wide and mostly flat. At 11.2 miles long (22.4 round trip), we will enjoy traveling over five covered bridges overlooking the Conotton Creek. Enjoy views of a lake and several large ponds covered in acres of water lilies. Wildflowers dot the entire distance along with floral displays at rest areas. The trail is considered a bird sanctuary with a Blue Heron Rookery. Cattle, horses and a wide variety of wild animals enhance the trail.
Interested riders are welcome to join us for lunch afterward, at their own expense.
Meet-up details will be provided the day before the ride.

Yoga Stand Down
Monday, August 12, 2024 | 5:45 - 6:30 PM
Adventures in Training with a Purpose
Wexford, PA
Complementary health approaches, such as meditation and yoga, hold promise for treating the physiological and emotional states of PTSD. A regular meditation and yoga practice can improve sleep, boost mood, and ease chronic pain and depression symptoms.
This 45-minute class is designed to help you learn safe and effective stretching, breathing, and relaxation techniques that empower you to alleviate your stressors — both during the session and outside of class. You’ll discover ways to reflect rather than react. Take time to stand down and experience a moment of peacefulness.
This is a non-religious and non-spiritual class. Wear comfortable clothes, and bring a mat, towel, and/or cushion on which to sit.
We've partnered with Adventures in Training with a Purpose (ATP) to offer our Yoga Stand Down program at their facility in Wexford, PA. ATP is focused on improving the quality of life for veterans, active duty military, and first responders through their specialized division called Aurelius, which helps individuals achieve a better tomorrow through a holistic mind, body, and soul program.
This program is open to anyone who has ever served in the military and a guest. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
Military Bike Ride - Borderline Bicycle Tour
Saturday, August 17, 2024 | 9:00 AM
Meet Up Details TBA
Our bicycle rides are social in nature and limited to a small group of 15 riders. We take our time and enjoy the camaraderie. Most rides are between 15 and 20 miles. Rides are open to anyone who served in the U.S. military and a guest. All riders must be over 18.
This 16-mile ride was originally scheduled for June, but we had to postpone due to weather. It begins on the Panhandle Trail about 20 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport. We will begin our trek at the historic Burgettstown Train Station which is now a restaurant/snack bar. We will have a photo opportunity at the new trailhead park that includes a large Statue of Liberty replica. Enjoy calming views of the meandering waters of Harmon Creek as well as several large ponds. Be on the lookout for wild turkeys and deer. Riders are welcome to bring an apple or carrot for our equine friends at a trailside pasture.
We will take a quick rest at the PA/WV state line before entering West Virginia and stop at the Collier’s Station Trailhead. There we will see the historic marker commemorating the World Championship Boxing match between Champion Joe Goss and Patty Ryan which lasted 87 rounds.
Interested riders are welcome to join us for lunch afterward, at their own expense, at Walden’s Restaurant on the trailhead.
Meet up details will be provided the day before the ride.
